Gullible gringos At the 30 minute recess at school, Julien and I crossed the street to buy a couple of bananas. We asked the woman at the market how much the bananas were, and she said 1Q apiece, about 13 cents. We have her 2Q for two bananas and she sighed and gave us three. When I related the story to my teacher, she said even at the grocery store, bananas are at most .50Q per banana, and that the market-lady probably felt bad that we weren’t more insistent on a fair price, thus giving us an extra banana.
