The rest of our time in Granada we spent enjoying the city, relaxing, taking multiple cool-down shower-rinses per day to combat the 90-degree plus weather, and working at an amazing restaurant/cafรฉ. If you find yourself in Granada, Nicaragua, do not miss The Garden Cafรฉ; we originally came for the coffee and fast wifi, but returned religiously after that first discovery for the salads, the chocolate-chip oatmeal cookies baked to perfection, the drinks, the smoothies, the music, the beautiful courtyard. It was hard to say goodbye to Granada, and The Garden Cafรฉ certainly caused us to extend our stay several days.

The first day we went, this crane-chandelier was blue-fade-to-white; the second day it had changed with all these different colors and patterns. I asked our server if it had changed (perhaps my memory was failing) and she said that indeed they change the chandelier every month or two. 1000 cranes are folded by the employees in their down-time and are put up in this beautiful assembly. This led to me relearning how to fold cranes, and for the next month, any scrap of paper I found would be turned into a crane.
A crane I had folded the day before and left on the table was carefully perched upon the napkin dispenser of โourโ table, surely awaiting our return.
The rocking chair business in Nicaragua is rocking! As we would walk past homes after dark, it was common to see tens of people sitting around in rocking chairs inside large living spaces, watching TV or chitchatting. At dusk we always saw older people sitting outside in their rocking chairs, either in silent pairs or chatty groups. The photo is a bit fuzzy, but those two figures to the right are a couple rocking the evening away.
Adios Granada!

I can imagine the 90 degree heat! Quick showers cool you down and are so welcome when it is that warm.
