The big day came; October 26 we left Panama City in the early morn and headed for the Caribbean coast. Our itinerary for the four days would follow the same schedule: wake up, breakfast, load up the boat, boat about two hours to arrive to one of the (reputed) 360 San Blas Islands, lunch, and then spend the rest of the day snorkeling, sunning, drinking, playing volleyball, really whatever our hearts fancied. And this is how we went to Colombia. Here are the first two days.

Arriving at our lunch island, Pelican Island
Pelicans spotted on their namesake island
There was a pretty fierce-looking storm just off the coast. Our guide said storms tend to stick to the coast, and luckily for us, she was correct.
This was originally Julien trying to get a selfie with the two starfish. Somehow I got involved, though I was unable to stay underwater long enough. Julien especially enjoyed this series of photos as I appear to disappear into a poof of sand.
Pelican Island in its entirety
Our island for the night, Bandera de Cocos. The family who owns this island also owns the island off in the distance. The indigenous Kuna (semi-independent from Panama) live across all these Caribbean Islands, the islands closest to main-land Panama at apparant full capacity.

Those prehensile tails, though.
