April 13, 2016
After sleeping in one Wednesday, we motivated each other to walk around a new neighborhood in Buenos Aires. Though the day started out overcast, we had a mostly sunny walk through the port neighborhood El Caminito and then the neighborhood San Telmo. We had been walking for a few hours so we stopped for a coffee, and from the window I saw we were on โCalle de Tango โ Mariano Moresโ. Always curious and needing to do something (while enjoying coffee) I Googled this Mariano Mores to find out who he was. Turns out he was a famous Argentinian tango composer, pianist, and conductor who created the modern tango sextet, authored many classics, and performed up until late in his life, dying at the age of 98 that very morning โ April 13, 2016.
