May 3, four o’clock in the morning, we headed off to LAX for my parents to catch their flight to La Crosse, and for us to head to Madison. Five hours of flight took us from the west coast to the Midwest, and while I took the opportunity to snooze, Julien snapped a few photos of the geographical wonders we soared over.

We took a much-anticipated trip to the University’s Geology Museum with Gabriel. He was most excited about the dinosaurs, and in the ninety minutes we were there, he ran through the museum at least five times.
