๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ La Boca

Our last day in Buenos Aires, we headed to the iconic La Boca neighborhood. The neighborhood sits at the mouth of the Riachuelo River, (hence its name La Boca โ€“ The Mouth) its brightly-colored Caminito Street La Boca’s biggest draw.

It turns out he was a famous Argentinian Tango composer, performer, and conductor. Coincidentally he had passed away that very morning, April 13, at the age of 98.

  1. Such colorful houses and businesses. Is that a statue of the Pope in the balcony?? I love coincidences such as almost witnessing Mariano Mores’ death. It looks like he was just born a few weeks after my father…
Yes, in all of Latin America La Mafalda is very popular. Did you happen to see Manuelita, the turtle who went to Paris to make herself beautiful and came back looking as bad as when she left? My mother, my sisters and I and Catherine love the song!! I still would like to see you two dancing el tango before I leave!
